i’m in the pits!
original post date // April 24th, 2009 //
(warning: this may be TMI for some and i may regret this later, but anything for the cause.)
my armpits. you know…my “axilla - the hollow under the arm where it is joined to the shoulder”.
yep. those pits. that hollow place that *gasp* feels the need to grow hair.
well its propensity to grow hair is why i’m in the pits. actually, i’m not in the unhappy kind of pits because of hair growth, but because of the silkiness of my recently waxed pits. i’m all ‘in’ the pits. they feel so darn good! i can’t stop touching them. i’m starting to scare me…
no. it’s not the 1st time i’ve had my pits waxed. although, it is the 1st time i got great d-i-m (did it myself) results.
those of us with a fabo esthetician know the difference between a good wax on – wax off. we also know that the d-i-y approach is tricky. maybe it’s just me, but i’ve never been able to get the results my esthetician gets.
honestly *sigh*, i don’t think it was my skillful hand and the ability to twist my shoulder in a manner to get ever last drop. i have to give recognition to the product.
since i couldn’t get to my esthetician when i needed to, i ran out to grab a wax kit. in the past i got so-so results with different brands so i grabbed the largest box ☺ at the best price. i got home and got to business. like all wax kits (i’ve used), i expected a sticky mess.
it wasn’t and cleanup was a breeze and almost a week later, my pits are as smooth as the day i was born.
thanks to my wax kit, i’m one step closer to being bikini ready. now if the weather would cooperate, i may find motivation to take the next step…
i wanted to take pics for you all, but after thinking about it – i realized – taking pics of my pits was too much – even for me. sorry.
oh! i used: Sally Hansen – Naturally Bare Honey Wax (note: if you try it…you’re on your own. don’t come calling me if you have any reactions. this is not a recommendation. just my story.)
see ya in the pits!
