I once read an article about people who have had/overcome/lived through major life setbacks were grateful for the experience because they have a greater appreciation for life. Not only that, all of those people interviewed felt that it (their personal struggle) was a “gift.”

At the time, my biggest life hurt was a divorce and I could understand some of what they shared but couldn’t buy in fully.

Now…
My life today…
Some real-life bull crap…

I think I get it…
I’m getting it…
I understand fully…

There’s still stress but (being a travel buff) it’s a journey — an unplanned adventure and I’m a passenger learning as I go. Not only about the nature of people but the strength I have packed away — the strength we all pack away because we lose faith in the fact that it will be okay.
